@joystixxify well maybe your right. I havent seen this movie, and ofcourse this might be one of those movies that portray something real.
All i wanted to say was. watch out what you fill your head with. I heard a new term used the other day.
-plastic children- children who cannot entertain themselves unless theres a machine to help them. computergames or tv. these children exist. they dont know how to draw. they dont know how to play, & their imagination is dominated by whtevr compgame @ display
@storestyggesvendsens you’re right. and if you’d made that same comment about a trailer for The Hills or some other stupid mtv reality show i would’ve totally agreed with you. i just don’t think that the theme of what happens between two people within a marriage (including sex and attraction) is fundamentally indecent or immoral for the media to portray. so, you’re right. i just don’t think you’re right about THIS. (in my opinion)
@storestyggesvendsens this is an argument I hear all too often and simply put it just doesn’t make sense. We as a pop culture aren’t mindless bodies watching media, mimicking everything we see. Yes the media tries to persuade your judgment in a desired way but lets be serious after you watched american beauty did you quit your job, and start fantasizing about younger women/men? no. This is a movie starring dax from punked, I guarantee that it will not be the pitfall of marriage in our society.

what i see, more and more… is that media stupifies people, and tells them who to be, and how to behave and what not… and… i think that, well… i think that its unhealthy. and thus I made a statement. I havent seen this movie… but still… am i wrong? when i say media affects you? just like people you soend alot of time with affect you… ?
@joystixxify im sure this movie has some objectivity… but honestly, would you say, after watching tv for 1 day, that ,much of the media isent focussing on sex, partying and having to be perfect, and having to be perfect, meaning, being beautifl, have lots of sex and know whats on tv (ofcourse have good job as well)?
where is all the depth..? where are all the big questions? where are all the sbjects that evolves the human mind spirit and soul?
i think this movie is genius and the message it sends that being with one person can change things and getting back out there again can remind you of those things you lost to be with that person such as friends or free time cause you devote it all to the realtionship

@storestyggesvendsens i don’t think it’s doing that at all. i think it’s about showing what is already happening. the idea that being with one person for the rest of your life can be a challenge isn’t new, nor was it made up by the media. it’s just portrayed in an honest way in more films these days. it’s what film makers do. it’s just important to show what happens to the two people after they cheat on one another as well. but i’m sure that’s addressed in this movie
I kindda loathe the whole Media making it acceptable to be unfaithful… and even claiming that its good… I dont believe that that can be healthy.. im not religious or anything so its not comming from a bible point of view.. but honestly.. i think tv is teaching and telling us to do and try things that are against all that is pure and decent in the human soul… seriously… this movie is telling you thats its ok to fuck around… There will be problems associated with this. trust me.
its like… “i love you but lets go and have sex with whoever we want for one night and you tell me if you still want to be with me or not! maybe that will remind you of how much you still love meeee…!” ~i could be wrong but thats what it the story looks like to me.. i’d watch it to see what happens. we are humans and yes we have doubts here and there which is normal but if we encourage our doubts and look for something to fill what seems to be missing then it must means you are already in an realtionshipo youre not ready to be in or dont want to be in anymore. sometimes we cant have our cake and eat it too.
people do this because they are prob afraid to commit and have many doubts. they are afraid that when they are together for so long they will get bored of each other and wont be able to spark things up how when they first met. in reality it will tear a relatiobnship apart. a realtionship is not easy esp. when you want to be committed to someone. you must leearn how to be selfless instead of beings selfish… then things can work. it takes to two.
